Since October 2020, we have been cooperating as a service provider with the US company International Tool Works Inc. (ITW) in the area of logistics, service and administration. Our common goal was to make market development in Europe even more efficient. The premise: no CapEx and moderate OpEx.

Using synergies

Since October 2020, we have been cooperating with Buehler – ITW Test & Measurement GmbH. As part of our European Market Distribution service, we act as the exclusive master distributor in the EMEA region, handling all fulfillment, sales and order processing, and post-order management for Buehler’s branded products. By outsourcing these core tasks, our partner can concentrate on its core competencies and work on innovative solutions for material preparation.

Through the interaction of the core competencies of Buehler and Omnilab, the efficient allocation of resources leads to corporate success.

The challenge

In addition to product quality, Buehler’s customers place special emphasis on expeditious order processing and fast deliveries to meet end-user demand quickly and satisfactorily. Along with a high volume of orders, logistics and accounting in particular had to be handled efficiently. It was and is important to work without delays in both areas, as this could otherwise have a negative impact not only on customer relations but also on the company’s liquidity and cash flow.

Create greatness

By concentrating on the individual core competencies of the cooperation partners, it was possible to achieve the defined goals. With 3 to 4 times increase of partner products in Omnilab warehouse, we can promptly serve customers’ requests and ship within 48 hours. In addition to more reliable delivery times, order processing now takes place without residue. At the same time, customers have 300% more staff resources available for order processing and post-order management, so there is more redundancy for customers even in special trading situations such as Brexit. This also enabled us to record a reduction of over 10% in the complaint rate.
