OMNILAB is Patron of ’Jugend forscht’
For many years, the nationwide research competition ’Jugend forscht’ exists and is held annually (age beween 10 and 14 years in the sector ’Schüler experimentieren’ and age between 15 and 21 years in the sector ’Jugend forscht’). As a preliminary decision in the state of Bremen, there are three regional competitions in Bremerhaven, Bremen-Central and Bremen-North. The winners of this regional level then qualify for the national competition (12th to 15th March 2012). The 47th round of ‘Jugend forscht’ concludes with the national finals from 17th to 20th Mai 2012 in Erfurt.
The regional competition Bremen-North is facilitated by three new patrons: the Technologiepark Uni Bremen e. V. as well as the companies OMNILAB-LABORZENTRUM and TEGEE-CHEMIE with the Caramba brand.
On 1st and 2nd March 2012, 150 children and adolescents from Bremen-North present their 72 most exciting projects and an expert jury determines the regional winners 2012 in the Technologiepark Bremen.
All interested persons are welcome to visit ‘Jugend forscht’ on Friday 2nd March between 1 and 3 pm and ask the young researches themselves to explain their projects. The venue is the SFG-building of the University of Bremen (Enrique-Schmidt-Str. 7, 2nd floor). Subsequently, the prize-giving takes place in the auditorium (‘Keksdose’) next door.
For OMNILAB, this engagement is the logical and consistent continuation of the so far activities in the promotion of young researchers in the field of natural sciences.
