Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct sets out the fundamental principles and values to which we are committed in our daily dealings with employees, customers, suppliers, society and the environment in the context of our global business activities.

We operate according to an integrated corporate concept that encompasses all social, environmental, and economic contributions of a company to the voluntary assumption of social responsibility, sustainably and beyond legal norms. Accordingly, we bear responsibility for creating and maintaining a corporate culture in which adherence to the legal principles and ethical standards listed below is maximally upheld.

OMNILAB-LABORZENTRUM GmbH & Co. KG commits to the following principles:

Human Rights and Laws

• We support and respect the UN Human Rights Charter and ensure that our business practices do not contribute to human rights violations.
• We comply with the laws applicable in the jurisdictions where we operate; this includes, in particular, laws on fair competition, data protection, protection of third-party intellectual property, combating money laundering, and insider trading.

Corruption and Bribery

We do not tolerate any form of corruption or bribery and do not engage in such practices; this includes any illegal payment offers or similar inducements to government officials and other decision-makers to influence their decisions.

Child Labor

We do not employ individuals who do not meet the minimum legal age for employment.

Employee Rights

• We promote equal opportunity and fair treatment for our employees regardless of race, ethnic origin, gender, religion or belief, disability, age, or sexual identity.
• We respect the personal dignity, privacy, and rights of every individual.
• We do not employ anyone against their will and do not force anyone to work.
• We do not tolerate any unacceptable treatment of employees, such as discrimination, coercion, abuse, exploitation, or sexual harassment.
• We ensure appropriate remuneration for our employees and guarantee the legally established national minimum wage.
• We comply with the applicable national laws on working hours.
• We recognize employees’ freedom of association and neither favor nor disadvantage members of employee organizations or trade unions.

Health and Safety of Employees

• We take responsibility for the health and safety of our employees in the workplace.
• We take all necessary precautions to minimize risks and prevent accidents and occupational diseases.
• We maintain and promote an appropriate occupational safety management system that includes regular safety training.

Suppliers and Partners

• We advocate for the promotion of adherence to the principles and values of this Code of Conduct among our suppliers and partners.
• We uphold the principles of non-discrimination when selecting and dealing with our suppliers and partners, just as we do with our employees.

Environmental Protection

• We apply an appropriate environmental management system.
• We reduce environmental impact within economically reasonable possibilities beyond the measures required by legal norms and standards.
• We regularly review our environmental protection measures and implement appropriate improvement opportunities.

Export Guidelines

We operate an export management system in accordance with the rules of the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany as well as contractually agreed export regulations with individual suppliers and strictly adhere to export bans. We do not tolerate any form of circumvention within our sphere of influence and do not engage in such practices. We do not conduct business where relevant indications exist. The following countries are excluded from resale: Belarus, Iran, Cuba, Myanmar, North Korea, Russia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, and Crimea.
We reserve the right to make appropriate amendments to this Code of Conduct as required by changing compliance requirements.
